Seminarians participated in two different formation seminars during the last weekend. These seminars are held once a year with the aim of strengthening an aspect or two related to human formation.

Ms Georgina Debattista, a psychotherapist, joined the first and second year seminarians to help them reflect on group dynamics. The seminarians were asked to question their understanding of different groups and group stages and to observe different qualities which either make or break a group. Their seminar was held at Dar il-Ħanin Samaritan in St Venera.

Fifth, sixth and seventh year seminarians discussed leadership skills with psychologist Dr Marlene Cauchi. Dr Cauchi invited the seminarians to evaluate different models of leadership and also to understand the role psychology plays in the relationships between leaders and members of a team. The seminar was held in Xemxija.

Both groups of seminarians found the seminars fruitful and of great importance to their formation. The skills acquired will help the seminarians serve the people better.
